Welcome to the Bayswater Bullets Little Athletics Club Who are we?Bayswater Bullets are one of eleven clubs within the Knox Little Athletics Centre in the City of Knox, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1968, this coming Summer Track & Field season will be our 43rd season of competition. Little Athletics recognises that children vary widely in shape, size and athletic ability, and is thus one of few sports that successfully caters for them all. The Little Athletics motto is "Family, Fun and Fitness". It is also the most affordable junior sport as well! We are always welcoming new athletes to come down and join us. No previous athletic ability or experience is necessary. The emphasis is on having fun and each athlete to achieve their own personal best time or distance for each event they compete in. Canteen Duty - 21st Jan 2012 Bayswater Bullets has Canteen duty on the first week back from holidays - provided the track re-surface has been completed which is likely with the good weather we had prior to Christmas. We require assistance for those not on duty on the track to help out with one hour shifts, provided we have enough parents to help out.
Special Events - Closing Dates Coming Soon We have two special events requiring entry forms and payments with a special note to closing dates. 2011/12 Eastern Metropolitan Regional Track & Field Championships For Under 9's and above, the Eastern Metrolpolitan Regional Championships will be held at the Knox track on 18th and 19th February. NOTE: Closing date is 15th JAN 2012. Entry form is available from HERE! and must be posted with payment to the Centre Team Manager by this date. There are 11 Little Athletics Centres within the Eastern Region who will be competing and PB's obtained will be counted. Those who qualify or progress from these Championships will contest the State Championships being held in Bendigo on 24th and 25th March 2012. Parents will be required to do half day duty. 2012 Knox Open Twilight This is an invitation to Under 7's and above for all Centres in Victoria for a championship type day competing for medals and ribbons. NOTE: Closing date is 21st JAN 2012. Entry form from HERE! and must be posted in with payment or handed to our Club Team Manager Sharon Maggs on 21st Jan. PB's will be counted on this day. Parents will be required to do half day duty.
Sun 11th December 2011 - Eastern Metropolitan Regional Relay Championships We had four athletes competing for the Knox Centre at the EMR Relay Championships held at Doncaster with some great performances!

Fri 10th December 2011 Congratulations to U/9 Paul Haasboek who broke a 23 year old club record in the 400m in a time of 1 min 17.32 sec. The previous record of 1 min 18.00 was set on 20 Feb 1988. Best PB (Personal Best) effort for the night was by U/7 Brody O'Connor, U/8 Jack O'Connor, U/9 Paul Haasbroek, U/10 Josh Dewar, U/10 Mathew Elvin and U/13 Gary Haasbroek with 2 PB's each. Well done to U/8 Jack O'Connor for achieving his10PB Certificate and U/9 Paul Haasbroek who was the first athlete to reach his Silver PB Medal status. With the track being closed from Monday 13th December to complete the new track re-surface, competition will not start again until Sat 21st January 2012.
